Overall good vibes. Working in a creative & supportive environment. Servicing a clientele that can really appreciate a great haircut!
Haircutting Specialist. I’ve been cutting hair with a straight razor for 2O years. It’s an extremely versatile tool which I love and strive to master. I specialize in scissor cuts as well. I really enjoy precision cutting. My emphasis is strongly based on suitability.
For more than 2 decades, Gia DaCosta has been a professional hairdresser, working for more than half that time in the heart of New York City at the world-renowned salon, Bumble and bumble. Her training and talent naturally led to her becoming an educator in-house and across the country, teaching all levels of stylists classic and modern haircutting and styling.
Gia developed her eye and technical skill by fully immersing herself in the culture of hairdressing while completing a rigorous and extensive training - working alongside Michael Gordon, Howard & Raymond McLaren, and many other top hairstylists in the industry, and backstage at Fashion Week supporting editorial stylists.
Dedicated to sharing her creative expertise with stylists of all levels looking to refine their techniques and nurture their craft, she has been working as a resident educator and stylist in New Jersey at Bloom for the past year, and continues to service her NYC clientele in Gramercy Park.
